Job Title: Accounts Assistant (CIS experience essential)
Salary: Up to £32,000 (negotiable dependant on experience & qualifications already achieved)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client, a well-established construction business. You’ll play a key role within the finance team, supporting the day-to-day accounts function, including invoice processing, VAT, CIS and payroll.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase and subcontractor invoices for construction projects
- Raise sales/customer invoices
- Process payroll & subcontractor payments
- Prepare and submit CIS returns and VAT returns
- Ensure compliance with HMRC and construction industry regulations
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Provide wider support to the finance team and contribute to ad hoc finance tasks as required
Requirements
- Experience working as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Previous experience working within the construction sector
- Strong working knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes
- Good Excel skills
- A hardworking individual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
