Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Electrician to join our growing team. The role primarily involves domestic electrical installations and maintenance across a variety of projects, including new builds, home extensions, rewires, media walls, air conditioning electrical supplies, additional sockets, lighting installations, and consumer unit upgrades. We also undertake occasional commercial projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrician who takes pride in producing high-quality work, has strong fault-finding abilities, and can work independently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs.
- Install and commission electrical systems in new builds and extensions.
- Complete full and partial rewires to current regulations.
- Install additional sockets, lighting circuits, consumer units, and associated electrical accessories.
- Carry out electrical work associated with air conditioning installations.
- Install power and lighting supplies for media walls and bespoke home improvement projects.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Complete electrical testing and certification where required.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Ensure all work complies with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when working in customers’ homes.
- Accurately complete job documentation and report progress to management.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with relevant industry qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Proven experience in domestic electrical installations.
- Experience with rewires, extensions, new builds, consumer unit changes, and fault finding.
- Competent in inspection, testing, and certification.
- ECS or CSCS card preferred.
- Own van and hand tools essential.
- Multifunction tester preferred (can be provided for the right candidate).
- Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
