Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods on site using Counterbalance FLT, while ensuring all warehouse operations are carried out efficiently and safely.
With responsibility for preparing and packing orders accurately and despatching on time to meet transportation schedule. The role also includes carrying out ad hoc tasks within the production area as when and required. Working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm including a 1/2 hour unpaid break for lunch.
Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries from vehicles.
- Move stock and materials around the warehouse and storage areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Conduct stock checks and assist with inventory control.
- Ensure goods are stored correctly and securely.
- Complete warehouse documentation accurately.
- Carry out daily FLT safety checks and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Valid FLT Counterbalance FLT licence/certification is essential.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of warehouse tasks.
