Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication management
- Support clients in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring personalised and respectful care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Help with light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation as required
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and participating in social activities where appropriate
Skills
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of developing and following care plans
- Good command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
