Job Summary:
Nairobi Central International Business & Community Services Ltd is seeking an experienced, strategic, and community-focused Senior International Programmes Manager to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of international business and community programmes from Manchester, England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior programme professional who enjoys managing cross-border initiatives, developing institutional partnerships, supporting diverse communities, and delivering measurable social and economic outcomes. You will oversee programme strategy, budgets, funding, stakeholder relationships, governance, risk, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
The successful candidate will help develop programmes connecting organisations, businesses, community groups, educational institutions, and public-sector stakeholders across the United Kingdom and international markets.
What you'll do:
- Lead the planning and delivery of international business, community, education, and development programmes
- Develop programme strategies, objectives, delivery plans, budgets, and performance frameworks
- Manage several programmes and workstreams from initiation through completion
- Build relationships with international partners, community organisations, businesses, funders, and public bodies
- Identify new programme, partnership, sponsorship, and funding opportunities
- Prepare funding proposals, business cases, grant applications, and partnership agreements
- Establish programme governance, reporting, quality, safeguarding, and risk-management processes
- Monitor budgets, expenditure, resources, schedules, outputs, and contractual obligations
- Lead programme managers, coordinators, consultants, volunteers, and external delivery partners
- Ensure programmes remain inclusive, culturally responsive, accessible, and aligned with community needs
- Coordinate workshops, conferences, delegations, training programmes, and community events
- Manage international visits, stakeholder meetings, and cross-border programme activities
- Track programme outcomes, social impact, participant engagement, and partner satisfaction
- Prepare progress reports, impact assessments, presentations, and board-level updates
- Resolve delivery challenges and implement corrective or improvement actions
- Represent the organisation at partnership meetings, sector events, and community forums
- Support organisational strategy, service development, and international growth
- Promote strong safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and data-protection practices
Requirements:
- Senior experience in programme management, international development, community services, business support, education, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience managing complex programmes, partnerships, budgets, and delivery teams
- Strong programme planning, governance, monitoring, and evaluation skills
- Experience working with international, multicultural, or community-based stakeholders
- Ability to prepare proposals, reports, funding applications, and executive presentations
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management abilities
- Experience managing programme risks, contracts, compliance, and performance targets
- Ability to balance strategic planning with practical programme delivery
- Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and data-protection requirements is beneficial
- Experience with grant-funded, publicly funded, or donor-supported programmes is advantageous
- Willingness to travel within the United Kingdom and internationally when required
- A degree in programme management, international relations, business, community development, public administration, or a related discipline is preferred
- Relevant programme or project-management qualifications are advantageous
- Equivalent senior-level practical experience will be considered
