Skills/Experience
Industry relevant qualification (Light Vehicle maintenance Level 3 or equivalent)
MOT tester preferred but not required
Solid evidence of current experience in the role of car mechanic.
Full UK Driver’s Licence (manual transmission) essential.
Strong communication skills
Team player

Main Duties
Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
Repair or replace broken or defective parts and resolve defects.
Road test vehicles to check repairs.
Maintain equipment and make sure tools are in good condition.
Follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
Complete all documentation to the required standard.
Have good communication skills, deal with customer queries, settling bills, answering calls and booking appointments.
