Job Summary
At MMAb we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Mental Health Support Worker to provide essential mental health and emotional support to people experiencing various mental health challenges. In this role, you will work closely with individuals to promote their well-being, foster independence, and support their recovery journey. Your empathetic approach and strong communication skills will help create a safe, nurturing environment where clients feel valued and understood. Responsibilities
- Offer one-on-one emotional support and active listening to clients, ensuring they feel heard and respected.
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, medication administration, and routine tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
- Implement individualized care plans based on assessments and to ensure holistic support.
- Monitor clients’ mental health status regularly, recognizing signs of distress or escalation, and respond appropriately.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills tailored to their needs, including social skills development and self-care routines.
- Maintain detailed records of client progress, incidents, medication administration, and care activities in compliance with organizational policies.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, safeguarding policies, and confidentiality standards.
Skills
- Experience working with children or adults in mental health or social care settings.
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to administer medication accurately following prescribed protocols.
- Strong patient care skills combined with empathy, patience, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
