Care is Central is opening Camellia Court, a new 8‑bed short-stay service for adults with learning and physical disabilities. We’re looking for passionate Team Leaders to join our founding team.
This is a rare chance to help build a service from the ground up, shaping its culture, standards, and values.
Camellia Court is part of Red Kite Meadows, a modern care village developed with Central Bedfordshire Council, designed for comfort, dignity, and enjoyment. Our service offers a high‑quality environment where individuals can relax, try new activities, and enjoy a positive break.
The Role: Team LeaderYou will support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the service while leading and inspiring a team of Support Workers to deliver safe, person‑centred care.Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operational leadership
- Complete needs assessments
- Develop and review care plans and risk assessments
- Lead, supervise, and mentor staff on shift
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staffing
- Manage rotas and annual leave
- Assist with payroll accuracy
- Participate in the on‑call rota
- Conduct audits, spot checks, and quality assurance
- Maintain accurate digital records
- Lead supervisions, training, and appraisals
About You
We are seeking an experienced, values‑driven care professional with strong leadership skills.
You Will Ideally Have:
- 1+ year in a supervisory or Team Leader role
- Experience supporting adults with learning/physical disabilities
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organised, flexible approach in a busy environment
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
You’ll Also Need:
- Good written and spoken English
- QCF Level 2 (or above) in Health & Social Care
Most importantly, you’ll bring warmth, positivity, and a commitment to high‑quality care.
Hours, Pay & Conditions
- Full‑time (40 hours), permanent
- Weekend working required
- £14.85–£15.07 per hour
- Paid on‑call duties
