Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Home Manager to lead and oversee a children’s residential care home. This vital role involves managing daily operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and providing exceptional leadership to staff. Duties
- Lead the overall management of the children’s residential home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and policies
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer’s care support
- Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive team environment focused on high-quality care delivery
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and accuracy in line with healthcare regulations
- Monitor daily routines, activities, and therapeutic interventions to promote emotional and developmental growth
- Maintain detailed records of care activities, incidents, and progress reports for each child
- Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children’s well-being
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or residential care settings with children or vulnerable adults
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care home setting
- Knowledge of care plans development and implementation tailored to individual needs
- Experience in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is required
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and health & safety regulations within care environments
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, families, and external agencies
- A compassionate approach combined with strong organizational abilities to manage complex care requirements

Pay: £37,357.60-£71,526.84 per year
