SBS was established in 2003 and has since grown to become one of the largest independent Mechanical, Electrical and Construction contractors in the East Midlands. We are an EOT owned business based in Lincolnshire who offer a unique service founded on engineering expertise.
To complement our historic M&E heritage SBS created and developed an in-house Construction Division to enable a turnkey to all projects.
In this time, we have worked closely with a multitude of clients to deliver tailor-made MEP installations and specialist construction and civils projects to most sectors in the UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Construction Division for a driven and motivated Project Manager. The role is both site and office-based supporting the Construction Division Lead in overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Programme Management
- Develop and manage project programmes for multiple construction projects ensuring effective delivery.
- Plan & organise suitable and adequate labour to meet project requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor operations on site, progress and ensure the project is brought to a successful and safe completion within the required time, budget and quality constraints/standards.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects to enable traceability.
Contractor and Supplier Management
- Procure and manage sub-contractors, consultants and specialist suppliers.
- Oversee the procurement of all materials and ensure deliveries are in line with the procurement schedule.
Budget Management
- Produce budgets and monitor costs against pre-determined budgets and report to the Construction Division Lead and Commercial Director.
- Effectively manage and record contractor variations and budget changes.
Health & Safety and Quality Assurance
- Comply with all company H&S policies, procedures and safe working practices.
- Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation as well as our own quality standards.
- Ensure site team and sub-contractors are following common operational standards.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, healthy and positive working environment.
- Ensure equipment and workspaces are used and maintained safely and appropriately.
- Collation of Health & Safety information to suit client requirements
- Support the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance
Collaboration and Management Support
- Create and maintain good relations with clients, staff and subcontractors as well as any other stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress and key milestones with clients in a clear, concise and timely manner.
- Supervise, manage and motivate the project team using effective leadership skills.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry
- SMSTS Health and Safety qualification
- A full driving licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Advantageous Skillsets
- Experience working within the Defence Sector
- Experience delivering commercial fit-outs and refurbishments
- Recognised qualification in leadership and/or management or equivalent experience
- Awareness of Temporary Works procedures and works
Additional Notes
- Holiday Package: 24 days and 1 additional day for your birthday, plus 8 Bank Holidays
- Working hours: 8-5pm Monday to Friday – Hours may differ when on site

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
