About the Role
NN Commercial Cleaning Ltd is looking for experienced, confident and results driven Door to Door Sales Canvassers to join our growing customer acquisition team.
The role involves travelling across Northampton, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, speaking directly with potential residential customers and generating new business for our professional window cleaning services.
This position is suited to candidates who already have previous experience in door to door sales, canvassing, field sales or face to face customer acquisition.
Previous relevant experience is required.

Sales Commission
In addition to your hourly PAYE wage, you can earn commission on personally generated confirmed sales.
For every £500 of confirmed sales personally generated by you, you will receive £70 commission.
For example:
- £500 confirmed sales = £70 commission
- £1,000 confirmed sales = £140 commission
- £1,500 confirmed sales = £210 commission
Commission is additional to your normal hourly wage and is subject to company validation of the confirmed sales.
Working Hours
The role operates Monday to Friday, normally within the following working window:
10:00 am to 6:00 pm
This is a Zero Hours Contract. There is therefore no guaranteed minimum number of hours. Work and shifts will be offered according to operational requirements, available canvassing areas and business needs.
No regular weekend work is expected.
Locations
Canvassing will take place across:
- Northampton
- Cambridge
- Milton Keynes
- Surrounding towns and residential areas
The role requires travelling between different canvassing locations.
A company vehicle will be provided for authorised work related duties.
A valid UK driving licence is required.
Main Responsibilities
You will:
- Travel to residential canvassing areas allocated by the company
- Approach potential customers professionally at their homes
- Introduce yourself as representing NN Commercial Cleaning Ltd
- Explain our residential window cleaning services clearly
- Provide customers with the relevant service and pricing information
- Answer basic customer questions
- Generate new residential customers
- Accurately record customer information
- Submit new customer details to the company
- Follow company procedures for customer acquisition and data handling
- Work towards individual and team sales targets
- Maintain professional standards when representing the company
- Report progress and results to the Canvassing Team Leader
Confirmed sales will be checked and validated by the company before being counted towards commission.
Experience Required
Candidates must have previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Door to door sales
- Door to door canvassing
- Field sales
- Face to face sales
- Customer acquisition
- Lead generation
- Direct sales
Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant experience during the recruitment process.

Initial Training
All successful candidates will receive initial training with our Canvassing Team Leader before commencing independent canvassing duties.

- Reporting procedures
- Sales validation and commission procedures
Probationary Period
The position is subject to a six month probationary period.
During the probationary period, performance, conduct, attendance, reliability and suitability for the role will be reviewed.
Employment may be terminated during the probationary period by either party in accordance with the notice provisions contained in the employment contract and all applicable statutory employment law.
The probationary period does not affect any statutory employment rights.
