Join our warehouse team as a Part Time Parcel Sorter and Warehouse Operative. In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring parcels are accurately sorted, loaded, and ready in a timely manner for delivery couriers to collect. Your proactive approach will help keep our warehouse running smoothly, supporting an exceptional service.
Due to the nature of courier deliveries this is a morning position starting at 6.30am Monday to Saturday through to roughly 9am then there is a gap until the final wave of parcels arrive around 10am (due to this break in work, this position would ideally suit people local who can go home during this period but the majority of the team stay in the depot, go for breakfast, play darts / Xbox / quizzes) . This final wave takes until 11.30am at the latest to complete.

This position can be physically demanding (moving pallets around, lifting heavy parcels, etc) especially during peak periods i.e. Xmas / immediately after Bank Holidays.
Duties
- Sort incoming parcels swiftly and accurately according to destination and priority.
- Load and unload shipments with care.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
- Handle materials safely during handling, moving heavy or bulky items with proper lifting techniques or mechanical aids.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English.
- Previous warehouse experience while desirable is not essential as full paid training will be provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for sorting accuracy.
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills to thrive in a lively warehouse environment.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
