We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to support decision-making processes.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Oversee financial transactions, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities in accordance with organisational policies.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Support the optimisation of financial processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in financial management and accounting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial services or accounting roles with a strong background in financial management.
- Proficiency in using multiple accounting software packages including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, accounts payable, and general ledger management.
- Experience mentoring or training colleagues is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
