Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards.
- Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure excellent customer experience.
Skills
- Proven Barista Experience: Prior experience in a specialty cafe, fast-paced coffee shop, or high-volume deli is required.
- Advanced Coffee Craft & Interest: A genuine passion for coffee with hands-on experience dialing in grinders, adjusting espresso recipes, understanding yield and extraction, and executing latte art.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
