The Traditional Company specialises in the manufacture, supply and installation of high-quality estate fencing, railings and Legacy Edging. Our work can be found on country estates, private gardens and amenity projects across the South of England.
As our workload continues to grow, we are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our installation team. We welcome applications from both experienced fencing installers and practical labourers looking to develop a long-term career in the industry.
The Role
This is a hands-on role working as part of a small team installing estate fencing, edging, railings and other garden ironwork.
Duties include:
- Installing estate fencing, edging and garden ironwork
- Assisting with site preparation and installation works
- Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Representing the company professionally on customer sites
- Travelling to sites across the South of England
Most sites are within 1.5 hours of Southampton, although some projects require overnight stays. Approximately 30% of our work involves staying away during the week, with accommodation provided.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Good timekeeping and a positive attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Happy to stay away from home when required
Desirable
- Previous fencing, landscaping, groundwork or construction experience
- CSCS Card
- Arc welding experience
- Experience towing a trailer

Salary
£27,000 - £38,000 per year, depending on experience, plus overtime opportunities.
