DS Swim is looking for a professional and motivated Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our team at our Chesterfield venue.
We deliver structured, progressive swimming lessons with a clear development pathway. As a swim school, we teach swimmers from preschool level through to competitive swimmer standard, with a strong focus on technical development and confidence in the water.
Our lessons are delivered as 1:1 and small group lessons, allowing teachers to prioritise individual progress and technical detail. We believe our teachers are at the centre of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on creating an environment where our team feel supported and respected.
Initially 3 teaching hours per week available on Sunday afternoons.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality 1:1 and small group lessons
- Teach swimmers ranging from preschool to competitive level
- Plan structured sessions focused on technical progression
- Provide clear feedback to swimmers and parents
- Maintain high safety and safeguarding standards
Lessons are delivered in a focused, supportive environment where quality of teaching is prioritised.
About You
- Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualified (or working towards)
- Confident teaching a range of ages and abilities
- Committed to high standards and swimmer development
- Reliable, professional and child-focused
- Strong communicator
- Team player, who enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team.
Current or former competitive swimmers are encouraged to apply. Applications from those with significant experience in the sport of swimming, who have not yet completed their Level 2 Teaching Qualification, will be considered, and support may be offered to those working towards their qualifications.
Locations
This role is based at the fantastic facilities at Highfield Hall School in Newbold, Chesterfield. DS Swim also operates pools in Bakewell, Derby, Nottingham, Ollerton, and Sheffield Woodhouse, with additional hours potentially available across these sites.
Hours:
Initially teaching on Sunday afternoons 2:30-5:30pm.
Additional hours may be available for the right candidate.
Start Date: ASAP, but open to negotiation.
