What is a ‘Bike Expert’?
Choosing the right bike, parts or clothing can feel confusing. The Tredz Bike Expert Team make it simple for customers.
This call centre-based role is all about helping riders choose bike related items with confidence. We give you the knowledge, tools and guides you need, so you can help riders enjoy cycling more.
It’s not about hard selling. It’s about listening, understanding what each rider needs, and offering clear, helpful advice and direction. You’ll help customers as they decide, making it feel personal to them.
You’ll be working as part of a team who enjoy different types of riding and share their knowledge every day, helping you build your own confidence in the role. An interest in cycling is a bonus, but not essential. What matters most is your willingness to learn and build your knowledge of bike styles, brands and products, so you can give great advice to every rider.

Here’s what a day in the role will look like:
- A blend phone calls, live chat and email to support riders throughout the day.
- Help customers with product questions across bikes, accessories, clothing and parts on our website.
- Talk through payment options for bikes, including Cycle to Work schemes.
- Support riders in finding alternatives when items are out of stock.
- Share useful advice so riders can choose the right products and get set up with confidence.
- Keep up to date with new products, tech and trends through training.
What you’ll need to do well in this role:
Experience
- 1+ year of office or contact-centre based work (Essential)
- Experience in a sales or advisory role, helping customers understand products and make confident choices (advantageous)
- Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., financial services, insurance, banking, utilities) (advantageous)
Other extremely valuable experience
If you have experience in a cycling, sports or similar customer-facing environment, or a strong knowledge of bikes. This could come from working as a bike mechanic, in a bike shop, in cycling aftersales or at activity centres, or from taking part in cycling events and being part of the cycling community. If you’re passionate about bikes and enjoy helping people, we’ll consider your application even if you haven’t worked in a contact centre before.

- Competitive Salary: £27,716.00 per annum (Grade T-E).
- 40 hours per week, with shifts between 9:00–17:30 and 10:30–19:00, plus Saturdays on a rota.
