Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicles Technician to join our team. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various types of vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals, then perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs, assembly, and modifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and part replacements.
- Perform heavy lifting when required, including moving parts or components during maintenance procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and repairs performed.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems within vehicles as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and organisational policies, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems and components for effective diagnosis and repair.
- Excellent customer service skills when liaising with clients or colleagues regarding vehicle issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality work standards are met.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
