The Nest at Little Verzons Farm is a unique Farm Shop and Café. Set in 14 acres of beautifully re-wilded farmland, our outdoor space consists of a mature heritage orchard along with woodland and a lake all connected by nature trails. Championing local craft, food and drink, The Nest is an eclectic business owned by the award winning Handmade Scotch Egg Company.
ABOUT YOU
You must have a passion for food and seasonal produce, along with enjoying working within a friendly team in a busy environment.
Demonstrating a good knowledge of how a kitchen operates, you will ensure every plate of food that leaves the kitchen is the best it can be.
You will need to be confident in independently running the kitchen during weekdays and weekends.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and friendly Cook to join our Kitchen Team to ensure the smooth running of the department. With the advantage of working straight shifts, we do require full flexibility with the ability to also work weekends. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment within the hospitality and catering sector would be highly advantageous.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The preparation of all food served in our cafe for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Ensuring a clean and tidy workspace at all times.
Ordering, cleaning and due diligence, in line with Food Safety standards.
Ensuring a smooth service in the kitchen.
This is not a temporary or seasonal role.
No agency staff please.
