Excel Supply are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhyl for a September start.
This is an exciting opportunity to support students aged 11 to 16 both in and out of the classroom, helping them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality support, promote positive behaviour, and create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
The role will involve:
- Supporting students in lessons across a range of subject areas
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence
- Supporting students with additional learning needs where required
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a productive learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A flexible and reliable attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting young people in their education
Previous Teaching Assistant experience is desirable, but we also welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills from youth work, coaching, care, mentoring, or similar roles.
