Hours: 30/40 hours, evenings, weekends required
Salary: £13 to £13.50 hourly rate + tips & service charge
Thomas Street Social are looking for a Bar Supervisor / Keyholder to join the team!
The Role
We are looking for an experienced cocktail bartender to join our team, immediate start is preferable. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, excellent attention to detail, and confidence working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
This role includes both opening and closing responsibilities, so reliability, organisation, and consistency are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Deliver warm, professional, and engaging customer service at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
- Open the bar at the start of service, including setup, stock checks, equipment preparation, and hygiene checks.
- Close the bar at the end of service, including cleaning down, restocking, cashing up, securing stock, and completing closing checks.
- Follow drink recipes and presentation standards consistently.
- Handle payments accurately and responsibly.
- Work closely with management and the wider front-of-house team.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, breakages, or maintenance issues promptly.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a bartender or cocktail bartender in a quality venue.
- Strong cocktail knowledge and confidence making drinks to a high standard.
- Experience with opening and closing duties.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy service environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Previous experience with cashing up and end of day procedures.
Desirable
- Experience with seasonal cocktail menus.
- Knowledge of spirits, wine, and liqueurs.
- Previous experience in premium casual dining, cocktail bars, or boutique hospitality venues.
- An immediate start is preferable.
