Job Overview
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day? At Oot and Aboot, we're looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to provide person-centered support to one individual in his own home and within his local community.
Our Values: We believe in *Inclusion * Empowerment * Passion *
If you share these values, we'd love to hear from you!
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll support the individual to maintain his independence, achieve his personal goals, and enjoy the activities that are important to him. As well as providing support with daily living and household tasks, you'll accompany him to a range of social and leisure activities throughout the week.
His regular routine includes shopping on Mondays, bowls at the Life Centre and swimming on Tuesdays, Boccia and golf on Wednesdays, followed by Special Olympics in the evening. Fridays involve supporting him with tasks around his home before heading to the popular Highbury Disco in the evening. Saturdays are often spent visiting friends and completing jobs around the house, helping him stay connected with the people and community that matter most to him.
At Oot and Aboot, person-centered support is at the heart of everything we do. We believe every individual deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion, with support tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and aspirations. Our aim is to empower the people we support to live fulfilling, meaningful, and independent lives, and we're looking for someone who shares these values and is passionate about making a positive difference.
