We are looking for friendly, customer-focused Tanning Consultants to join our Alloa salon on a temporary seasonal basis.
Applicants must be fully flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. You must also be willing and able to provide additional cover when required, including at short notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide an excellent salon experience.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and performance goals.
- Promote tanning packages, lotions, accessories and other salon products.
- Help customers select suitable tanning options based on their skin type and desired results.
- Operate tanning beds safely and ensure they are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Explain the importance of protective eyewear and following all tanning safety guidelines.
- Monitor tanning sessions to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to time limits.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the salon, including sanitising tanning beds, wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies.
- Keep up to date with salon products, services and industry trends.
- Provide cover for other team members when required.
Experience and Skills
- Previous customer service or sales experience is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of tanning equipment, lotions and accessories would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with customers.
- A confident, friendly and professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for processing payments and maintaining customer records.
- A reliable and flexible approach to working hours.
