We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organising personal belongings
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
- Follow care plans accurately to meet individual needs and preferences
- Maintain clear communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Keep detailed records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients at all times
Skills
- Valid driving licence is essential and ability to travel between clients’ homes efficiently
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Proficiency in basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail to ensure high standards of care are maintained
Pay: £14.50-£29.00 per hour
