Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Window and Door Fitter specialising in Aluminium, wood, and PVC materials to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of window and door systems across residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities
- Measure and assess installation sites to ensure precise fitting of windows and doors.
- Install aluminium, wooden, and PVC window and door units according to schematics and technical specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to carry out installations efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all fittings are secure, weatherproofed, and compliant with safety standards.
- Remove old fixtures safely and prepare surfaces for new installations.
- Conduct quality checks post-installation to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical work, or masonry when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or installation roles specialising in windows, doors, or similar fixtures.
- Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, or construction painting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings relevant to installation projects.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools required for precise fitting
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and adapt to different types of materials including aluminium, wood, and PVC.
- Prior experience in working on residential or commercial sites is essential
