Trainee Business Development Representative
£30,000 Base Salary | £60,000 OTE | 3% Commission on Every Closed Deal You Generate
Want to work in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, but in a commercial role rather than a scientific one?
We're hiring a
Trainee Business Development Representative (BDR) to join a fast-growing healthcare media and communications business that partners with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare organisations.
The company creates trusted medical content, journals, podcasts, webinars, congress coverage, and digital campaigns that help healthcare professionals stay informed about the latest clinical developments and innovations.
This is an opportunity to break into sales, learn from experienced commercial professionals, and build a career with genuine earning potential and rapid progression.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying and engaging pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare companies
- Speaking with senior decision-makers via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Booking qualified meetings and generating new business opportunities
- Working closely with Account Executives on target accounts and campaigns
- Learning the healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape
- Building the pipeline that drives revenue for the wider sales team
What We're Looking For You don't need sales experience.
We're looking for people who are:
- Ambitious and competitive
- Confident communicators
- Resilient and motivated by targets
- Curious and eager to learn
- Organised and self-driven
A degree or interest in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, Business, Marketing, or a related subject would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
What's On Offer?
- £30,000 basic salary
- £60,000 OTE in your first year
- 3% commission on every deal that closes from opportunities you generate
- Full training and ongoing coaching
- Clear progression path into an Account Executive role within 12-18 months
- A fast-paced, high-performance environment where success is recognised and rewarded
If you're looking for a career where hard work directly impacts your earnings, progression, and long-term opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
