Duties
- Design and deliver engaging chess lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Teach fundamental chess principles, tactics, strategies, and endgame techniques
- Organize and oversee friendly competitions, tournaments, and practice sessions
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their gameplay and understanding
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages sportsmanship, patience, and perseverance
- Track student progress and maintain records of attendance and skill development
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or school staff to support student growth in chess
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably in chess or similar strategic games
- Strong knowledge of chess rules, strategies, tactics, and competitive play
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
- Ability to plan structured lessons that balance fun with skill development
- Passion for teaching and inspiring others to develop their strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect and teamwork
