Salary: £26,000 – £33,000 (DOE) + commission + overtime
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts) + Saturdays (rota/overtime)

Sonic House, part of the Sonic Stone group, is a design-led interiors brand specialising in premium surfaces and bespoke products. We supply natural and engineered stone, timber flooring, custom joinery, metalwork, and furniture for high-end residential and commercial projects across the UK.
Our Weybridge showroom is a curated space where designers, architects, and private clients explore materials and develop their projects.
The Role
As a Showroom Sales Consultant, you will be the face of Sonic House—delivering a refined, consultative experience to every visitor. You will guide clients through our materials and collections, understand their project requirements, and support them from initial enquiry through to quotation and order.
This role combines sales, design awareness, and operational coordination, requiring both strong client-facing skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Sales
- Welcome clients and deliver a professional, design-led showroom experience
- Understand project requirements and capture detailed enquiries
- Present materials and finishes, advising on suitability, performance, and lead times
- Prepare basic quotations and proactively follow up to convert enquiries into sales
- Book and coordinate warehouse visits and factory viewings
Product & Design Support
- Assist clients with material selections, samples, and mood boards
- Provide guidance on finishes, maintenance, and application
- Support with simple technical queries, escalating where required
- Read and interpret building plans, design drawings, finishes schedules and specifications.
Showroom & Operations
- Maintain showroom standards to a high level: clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Manage sample library, including preparation, tracking, and returns
- Ensure displays, labelling, and literature are accurate and up to date
Administration & Coordination
- Process orders and support administrative tasks (POs, delivery notes, stock entries)
- Liaise with Estimating, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams
- Assist with invoicing support and order tracking
Marketing & Brand Support
- Contribute to merchandising ideas and showroom displays
- Support basic content creation for social media (Instagram/LinkedIn)
- Assist with simple visuals such as mood boards, spec sheets, and signage
Requirements
Essential
- Previous showroom or sales experience within interiors (stone, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, or similar)
- Ability to read basic drawings and understand finishes schedules
- Experience preparing quotations and understanding pricing structures
- Strong communication skills with a polished and professional approach
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple enquiries
- Confident using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and learning new systems
Desirable (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of natural stone, timber flooring, metals, or furniture construction
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design tools
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Basic photography and content creation skills for social media
