Job Summary

Duties

- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events.
- Develop detailed event timelines and liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met effectively.
- Oversee on-the-day event operations, supervising staff and ensuring smooth delivery of services.
- Maintain excellent guest services by addressing attendee needs promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all logistical elements are coordinated efficiently.
- Utilise strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Organise promotional activities or fundraising initiatives associated with events to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all stages of event planning and execution.
Experience
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry such as restaurants or hotels is highly desirable.
- Proven ability in upselling products or services to maximise revenue during events.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members clearly and professionally.
- Experience in guest services or hospitality roles demonstrating a customer-focused approach.
- Familiarity with fundraising activities or community engagement initiatives is a plus.
- Prior experience in time management and organisational roles that require meticulous attention to detail.
