We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of first and second fix carpentry works, and have a keen eye for detail.
Applicants should possess a strong understanding of construction processes and be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Duties
- Experience in and quality delivery of all first & second fix carpentry works
- First fixing of windows & external doors, structural timber floors, cut roofs, truss & flat roofs & partitions
- Second fixing of doors, linings, skirtings & timber mouldings.
- Installation of joinery elements
- Kitchen fitting and bathroom cabinetry
- Assist with other general construction activities as required
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction industry.
- CSCS preferred but not essential
- Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings & specifications
- Can work well as part of a team as well as on their own.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to work in occupied properties, positive and client facing.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Take instruction form Site, Project & Contract Managers, report back on progress and any issues.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are desirable but not essential.
