Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and bathroom fittings across residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a variety of environments. Duties
- Installing new bathroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, baths, and showers in accordance with project specifications
- Repairing and maintaining existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete installations and repairs
- Reading technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute fitting tasks
- Conducting routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues before they become serious problems
- Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair work
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and building regulations
- Assisting with carpentry tasks related to bathroom fitting, such as framing or minor structural adjustments
- Operating commercial vehicles for material transportation when necessary
Skills
- Proficiency in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Experience with welding, carpentry, and assembly work is advantageous
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installation processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working with plumbing systems and power tools
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work
