Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and responsible Nanny to provide childcare for our 3 children in a family setting in Kirkcaldy (aged 9,7 and 7). The ideal candidate will be nurturing, reliable, and capable of creating an engaging environment for children. This role involves supervising children, assisting with daily routines, and supporting their developmental needs.
The position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working in a flexible and rewarding environment. The role provides choice and flexibility in leading activities for the children based on your and their interests.
The role guarantees 20-25 hours paid per week during school term time, paid holidays and enrolment into a pension.
(Note: there is some negotiation on hours for the right candidate but the role includes school drop off and time with the kids after school).
Please note: This is not a “live-in“ position.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times during working hours.
- Enjoy engaging the children in recreational activities to promote development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's behaviour, needs, and progress
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or babysitting is preferred but not essential; a genuine passion for working with children is required. (it may suit those currently in an early years childcare post wishing to work more flexibly, or those who have recently completed a childcare course).
- Good communication skills with both children and parents
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a caring nature
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is desirable
Driving is desirable to fully support the role and enjoy wider days out!
