We are looking for a reliable and friendly Retail Assistant / Customer Service Assistant to join our team.
This role can be full-time or part-time, but applicants must be available to work both weekdays and weekends. Shifts will usually be either 7:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–10:00pm.
The starting wage will be National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage depending on age.
The role involves serving customers, helping with day-to-day shop duties, restocking shelves, keeping the store clean and organised, and putting out deliveries when new stock arrives.
Main duties include:
- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Using the till and handling customer payments
- Answering customer questions and helping them find products
- Restocking shelves and keeping displays tidy
- Putting out deliveries of stock when they arrive
- Checking dates, rotating stock and keeping shelves organised
- Keeping the shop floor, counter and stock areas clean and tidy
- Helping with general day-to-day tasks around the business
The ideal candidate will be:
- Friendly, polite and confident speaking to customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Available to work weekdays and weekends
- Able to work either 7:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–10:00pm shifts
- Hard-working and willing to help where needed
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable being on their feet during the shift
- Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential as training can be provided
