Salary: £28,128.88
We are seeking an organised, motivated and customer-focused individual to lead the day-to-day operation of our Archives Reading Room and Local History services.
This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape and enhance the delivery of our frontline archives and local history service. You will lead a small team of Archives and Digitisation Assistants, support our valued volunteers, and help ensure that visitors enjoy an outstanding experience when engaging with York’s documentary heritage and local history collections.
The role would suit someone with:
- Experience working in an archive and/or library service
- Excellent organisational and people-management skills
- An interest in local history, family history and public engagement
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the heritage sector while playing a key role in the future of our service.
