We are seeking an experienced Minor Works Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civils minor works across the Yorkshire Water estate.
Working within a regulated water industry environment, the Minor Works Manager will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end delivery of small to medium‑scale projects across operational and non‑operational sites. This includes overseeing planning, programming, delivery, commercial performance, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring all works meet the required standards of safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and value.
This role is critical to supporting Yorkshire Water’s asset investment, operational resilience, and compliance objectives. It requires strong leadership, technical awareness, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams within a live, high‑risk utility environment.

The Minor Works Manager will:
- Manage the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civils minor works projects across Yorkshire Water sites.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, in full compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM regulations, and Yorkshire Water standards.
- Plan, programme, and coordinate multiple concurrent projects within operational water and wastewater environments.
- Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient, high‑quality delivery.
- Act as the key point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong working relationships.
- Review scope, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure feasibility and buildability in a live utility environment.
- Monitor project performance against programme, cost, and quality targets.
- Support commercial management, including cost control, variations, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant water industry standards, environmental regulations, and permit requirements.
- Manage site access, permits to work, isolations, and operational constraints associated with live water infrastructure.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including operational, environmental, and supply chain risks.
- Support value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Work closely with design, commercial, and operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Ensure robust documentation, reporting, and handover processes are followed.
- Promote a strong safety culture aligned with GRAHAM and Yorkshire Water expectations.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the wider contract objectives and performance measures.

Essential Criteria
1. Proven experience in a Minor Works Manager / Project Manager role within utilities, infrastructure, or FM environments.
2. Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Civils works in operational (live) environments.
3. Experience delivering projects within regulated or high‑risk industries (e.g. water, energy, infrastructure).
4. Knowledge of health & safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and safe systems of work.
5. Experience managing subcontractors, supply chain partners, and direct labour.
6. Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control, variations, and project reporting.
7. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
10. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
1. Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline.
2. Experience working on water or wastewater treatment sites.
3. Knowledge of Yorkshire Water processes, standards, or similar utility frameworks.
4. SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
5. Experience working under NEC contracts or similar framework
6. NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Management
