Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive mathematics lessons to students across various age groups. Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Assess students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Develop customised lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Monitor student behaviour and implement appropriate classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop school-wide initiatives and share best practices.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programmes as required.
- Support students in developing problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Education or Mathematics (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary or primary level is desirable but not essential; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan lessons effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate students.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Knowledge of current educational technology tools and resources is advantageous.
- A valid right to work in the UK; all applicants must pass relevant safeguarding checks prior to employment.
