Job Title: Van Driver - Multi-Drop
Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: £33,384 per annum
Hours: Full-Time 50 hours per week (Day shift)/Monday to Friday

Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Drop Van Driver who is reliable and competent in handling multi-drop collections and deliveries of customers freight, in and around the London area.

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
Previous experience of multi-drop delivery and collection driving.
London driving experience would be a strong advantage, particularly within the M25 and London.
Previous experience operating vehicles with curtain-side and tail-lift equipment would be highly desirable.
Confident navigating busy urban areas and managing multiple timed deliveries and collections.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage delivery/collection times effectively.
Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
Previous freight forwarding or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Good understanding of vehicle weights, legal limits and road traffic regulations.
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
Flexible approach to working hours.
Key duties & Responsibilities:

Delivery and collection of customers freight, as assigned by the Transport Office to and from various locations and regions.

Multi-drop delivery and collections that may involve some home deliveries (B2C).

Supervise the loading of your vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.

Ensure the correct goods and quantity of goods are loaded and unloaded.

Plan you day and route in the most cost and operationally effective manner.

Present, process and return customers Delivery Notes.

Secure and return Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronic and/or manual.

Inform the Transport Office of any delays to or whilst at work

Maintain your vehicle (inside and out) in a clean and very tidy condition.

Greet all customers you meet in a polite and helpful manner and provide excellent customer service.
