Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous-chefs, and other team members
- Plan and develop menus that reflect current trends while maintaining quality standards
- Prepare high-quality dishes with attention to presentation, flavour, and consistency
- Monitor food production processes to ensure efficiency and minimise waste
- Maintain strict food safety standards in compliance with local regulations
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced settings
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire team members towards excellence
Pay: £15.00-£21.00 per hour
