Position: RIS Registered Manager
Location: 25 Windsor Road, Slough, SL1 2EJ
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 5+ Months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £244.46 per day
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of the Reablement and Independence Service (RIS) as the CQC Registered Manager
- Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, NICE guidance, the Care Act 2014, and relevant legislation
- Lead and manage the Reablement Compliance Officer, Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Reablement Assistants
- Oversee safe, effective, person-centred reablement services that promote independence and reduce long-term care dependency
- Monitor service quality through audits, performance management, complaints handling, and continuous improvement
- Ensure accurate care assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and record keeping
- Support safe and timely hospital discharges in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Manage staff recruitment, induction, training, supervision, appraisals, and workforce planning
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, confidentiality, and council policies
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, health professionals, partner agencies, service users, and families
Requirements:
- Experience as a Registered Manager within community care, reablement, rehabilitation, or domiciliary care services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, the Care Act 2014, safeguarding, and adult social care legislation
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, staff performance, and service delivery
- Experience managing quality assurance, audits, complaints, and continuous service improvement
- Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working collaboratively with health and social care professionals
- Strong IT and record management skills
- Management qualification or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
