High Ridge Training is seeking an experienced freelance Tutor to support the delivery and assessment of the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (Further Education and Skills)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable education professional with recent experience within the Further Education and Skills sector who is passionate about supporting aspiring teachers to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become outstanding practitioners.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers, teacher educators, trainers and assessors who are looking for flexible freelance work whilst making a real difference to the development of the education workforce.
Main Duties
· Deliver high-quality remote and, where required, face-to-face teaching and learning sessions.
· Support learners throughout their programme, providing high-quality teaching, coaching and pastoral support.
· Deliver both one-to-one and group learning sessions, motivating learners to achieve their full potential.
· Develop and produce lesson plans tailored to learners' individual needs.
· Prepare and utilise teaching materials that accommodate different learning styles.
· Use a range of engaging delivery methods to maximise learner participation and achievement.
· Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback in line with awarding organisation requirements.
· Conduct teaching observations and provide developmental feedback where required as part of the qualification.
· Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation and progress tracking.
· Provide regular progress updates to learners, employers and management.
· Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities to ensure knowledge and skills remain current.
· Follow all Quality Assurance and Risk Management systems.
· Adhere to organisational policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Prevent, Health & Safety and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Essential:
· Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (DiT), DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
· Significant occupational experience within the Further Education and Skills sector.
· Experience delivering teaching, training, mentoring or coaching within an educational or workplace setting.
· Experience assessing learners and providing constructive developmental feedback.
· Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
· Ability to engage, motivate and inspire adult learners.
· Confident in delivering high-quality remote learning using digital platforms.
· Willingness to travel within a reasonable distance to accommodate assessments as required
Desirable:
· Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent).
· Internal Quality Assurance qualification.
· Experience delivering the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching or equivalent teacher education programmes.
· Experience using e-portfolio systems such as OneFile.
· Current knowledge of the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) Professional Standards and contemporary teaching practice.
