Multi-Trade Operative / Defects Joiner (Joinery Background)
Location: Gainsborough (Heapham Road) with occasional travel to Scunthorpe, Doncaster & Rotherham
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract
Contract: Immediate start until March 2027, with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a joinery background/ defects Joiner, to join our team on a busy new-build housing development in Gainsborough.
Working alongside the Assistant Site Managers, Site Management Team and the Client's Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for ensuring 64 new homes are completed to the highest standard and ready for customer handover.
Main Duties
· 2nd fix joinery to prepare plots for decoration.
· 3rd fix joinery following decoration.
· Easing and adjusting doors.
· Air test preparation.
· Minor tiling and plaster patch repairs.
· Application of sanitary and floor sealants.
· Completing snagging works following client inspections.
· Attending property handovers to resolve any last-minute defects.
· Supporting defects manager with any 12 month defects.
· Supporting the Site Manager and Contracts Manager to deliver high-quality finished homes.
Requirements
· Proven experience in joinery and multi-trade finishing on construction sites.
· Experience within new-build housing is desirable.
· Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a small site team.
· Full UK driving licence is essential, as occasional travel to other sites in Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Rotherham will be required.
