Are you someone who thrives on empowering others to live their best lives? Do you bring warmth, empathy, and positivity to everything you do? If so, we would love to welcome you to our team.
At Litslade Farm, our registered care home in the heart of Newton Longville, we support a small group of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently and confidently. We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to join our friendly, inclusive, and supportive team.
This is a truly varied and rewarding role supporting eight individuals aged between 25 and 68. While the role can be challenging at times, it is equally fulfilling - with plenty of opportunities to plan activities, enjoy days out, and create meaningful experiences. No two days are ever the same.
What You Will Be Doing
As part of the role, you will:
-
Assess needs and develop personalised support plans
-
Promote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
-
Provide personal care with sensitivity and respect
-
Organise and assist with outings, appointments, and activities
-
Administer medication and maintain a healthy, safe environment
-
Follow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans
-
Induct and mentor new staff members
-
Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goals
You will be part of a friendly, collaborative team that works together to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in the care or support sector, who brings a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive.
You will also need to:
-
Communicate effectively and adapt to different needs and preferences
-
Work well as part of a team and independently
-
Flexible and reliable, able to work shifts (7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm), including weekends and bank holidays
-
Ideally experienced in a similar care or support role
-
A background in nursing or clinical care would be highly valued, offering a great opportunity to apply and further develop your clinical skills within a supportive, person-centred environment - however, this is not essential
-
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work
We will support your development with a structured induction, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to gain an accredited vocational qualification.
What You Will Get in Return
We believe in recognising and rewarding your dedication with a generous benefits package:
-
33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), rising to 35 with service
-
Monthly attendance bonus and annual performance bonus
-
Blue Light Card - access to discounts at national and local retailers
-
Annual salary and cost of living review
-
Mileage reimbursement for car usage
-
Workplace pension scheme and life assurance (3x salary)
-

-
A strong commitment to wellbeing through the Five Ways to Wellbeing framework
-
Ongoing training and development opportunities
