Duties
- Assist with food preparation as directed by the kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils
- Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
