Duties
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the dietary needs of young children in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Follow established menus while accommodating special dietary restrictions or allergies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety standards are met
- Serve meals in a friendly, engaging manner that encourages positive eating habits
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with staff to plan meal schedules that align with daily routines and activities
- Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation procedures are consistently followed
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Familiarity with culinary techniques suitable for preparing meals for children or similar age groups
- Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper hygiene, storage, and sanitation protocols
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting or restaurant is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation standards and serving procedures for young children
