Role Summary
We are seeking a caring and reliable individual to join our team as a School Escort and Lunchtime Support Assistant. This dual-role position involves safely collecting children from local primary schools and providing supervision and support during the lunchtime period at the nursery.
The position is for 11am-4pm, term time only.
Key Responsibilities
School Pick-Up Duties
- Escort children safely from designated local primary schools to Greenfields Nursery
- Ensure children remain safe, calm, and together during walks or transport
- Build positive relationships with school staff and parents/carers
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents
Lunchtime Cover
- Supervise children during lunch, encouraging healthy eating and good table manners
- Support children with feeding where necessary
- Promote positive behaviour and social interaction during lunch and playtime
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Experience working with young children (nursery or primary age preferred)
- A warm, patient, and responsible approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Enhanced DBS check (required prior to start)
- Use of own car with clean driving license
Training & Support
- Full induction and safeguarding training provided
- Ongoing support from the Greenfields Nursery team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00 per hour
