Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting scientific research and analysing food products to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments related to food composition, preservation, and safety using techniques such as microscopy and biochemistry methods.
- Analyse food samples through scientific research methodologies to assess quality, nutritional content, and safety parameters.
- Utilise programming languages such as R, Python, and MATLAB for data analysis, modelling, and interpretation of experimental results.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality assurance, and production to develop innovative food products.
- Stay updated with current trends in food science and technology to enhance research methodologies.
- Assist in the development of new testing protocols and optimise existing laboratory procedures.
Requirements
- Proven laboratory experience in food science or related fields such as biochemistry or microbiology.
- Strong understanding of scientific research principles with a focus on analysis skills.
- Proficiency in microscopy techniques and familiarity with laboratory equipment.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as R, Python, and MATLAB is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of clinical research practices relevant to food safety testing is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to present findings clearly within technical teams.
- A degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related scientific discipline is preferred.

Pay: £30,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
