As part of our continued growth, we are currently looking for Goods In Operatives / Reach Truck Drivers to strengthen our team at our Bicester Site.
About The Role
We are looking for a Goods In Operative / Reach Truck Driver to join our team in Bicester. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality service, ensuring safety, and contributing to a fast-paced, dynamic team, this could be the perfect role for you!
Location : Bicester, Oxfordshire
Working Hours :
Days: 06.00 am – 03.00 pm OR 12.00 – 09.00 pm
Nights: 09.00 pm – 06.00 am
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient & Courteous First Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for all delivery personnel and third-party couriers, maintaining a professional, helpful, and courteous approach in line with department best practices.
- Compliance & Paperwork: Process delivery paperwork accurately, ensuring goods are checked, signed off, and logged according to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinating Deliveries: Distribute deliveries efficiently to the relevant departments across the building, ensuring smooth operations.
- Discrepancy Management: Liaise with other departments and suppliers to raise and resolve discrepancies, ensuring timely receipt of urgent supplies and samples.
- Stock Check Assistance: Assist with stock checks and ensure accurate recording of all stock movements.
- Organising the Goods-In Area: Maintain the goods-in/holding area, ensuring it is kept clean, secure, and organised, and in line with company best practices.
- Waste Management: Help manage waste from the kitchen and goods-in areas to maintain a clean and tidy site.
About You
- Reach Truck Licence: Essential for operating forklifts and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain efficiency.
- Reliability & Dependability: A reliable team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including manual handling and lifting.
- Literacy & Numeracy: Good literacy and numeracy skills for processing paperwork and managing stock.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and proactively within a team environment.
- Team Player: Flexible, with a positive “can-do” attitude, and the willingness to take on various tasks as needed.
