Degree Six are a specialist SEN and Behaviour recruitment agency, working closely with schools across Birmingham to support their staffing requirements and provide high-quality staff who can help students with additional needs thrive and reach their full potential.
In the role, you will work within classrooms, SEN provisions or resource bases, providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour, early-life trauma and learning difficulties. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, helping them to engage positively within the school environment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH, Autism (ASD), ADHD and additional learning needs.
- Acting as a positive mentor and role model, building trusting relationships and encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, engagement and behaviour, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
We’re looking for:
- A minimum of 1 month’s experience working within a school or educational setting.
- Have a genuine passion for helping young people with additional needs
- An enhanced DBS on the Update service (or willingness to apply for one).
