We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of DW Complex Care Ltd. This role involves working closely with the Manager and Directors to ensure high-quality care and support for individuals living in their own homes. You will play a key part in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily management of the organisation and provide leadership support.
- Deliver personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming where required.
- Offer emotional, social, and practical support to individuals, helping them develop independent living skills.
- Support service users with meal preparation, domestic tasks, shopping, and laundry.
- Enable participation in community activities, day opportunities, and holidays.
- Monitor and report changes in emotional or psychological well-being, updating care plans as needed.
- Implement individual care plans and risk assessments to meet service user needs.
- Administer and manage medication safely after training.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with organisational standards.
- Uphold confidentiality and represent the organisation professionally at all times.
- Liaise with families, advocates, and external professionals as directed.
Additional Responsibilities for Assistant Manager
- Review care plans and risk assessments regularly, ensuring updates are communicated.
- Conduct monthly staff supervisions and annual appraisals, maintaining accurate records.
- Support staff through return-to-work processes and induction training.
- Assess medication competency for new and existing staff.
- Participate in the on-call rota (one weekend in four).
- Cover shifts during staff shortages or absences.
- Assist with investigations, data collation, and compliance checks.
- Ensure staff training goals are met within expected timescales.
- Monitor Training matrix and promote completion.

- Flexibility to work one on-call weekend per month.
- Potentially cover shifts when required.
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
