Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our care home. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, surfaces, and fixtures, ensuring all spaces are hygienic and presentable.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within allocated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality according to audits and regulations.
- Assist with resident’s laundry, including washing, ironing and organising clothes.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to organisational standards.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure thorough cleanliness.
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities.
